Shucked is nominated for 9 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and features a book by Tony Award winner Robert Horn (Tootsie), a score by the Grammy Award-winning songwriting team of Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally, and is directed by Tony Award winner Jack O’Brien (Hairspray). It was named "the surprise delight of the Broadway season" by Variety and "the best and funniest new musical on Broadway" by The New York Post.
Scott Stangland, an Irish Rep Company Member most recently featured as Da in The Butcher Boy, performs in the ensemble of Shucked. He is known for his performance as Pierre in Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 and Eamon in Once.
Shucked is currently playing in the Nederlander Theatre.
