First and Second Grade drawings and pressed flowers from the Hongwanji garden decorate this beautiful and functional vintage lantern made of see-through capiz shell - Mid century beauty transformed by our talented students.
Student drawings representing Spring/Summer/Winter/Fall were drawn on site at the Hongwanji garden and school property and transferred to plastic film and attached to the shell lantern allowing the light to shine through. Preserved leaves and flowers chosen by students were sealed and added for the enhanced natural look. Beautiful and detailed work by these young artisits.
