In the tradition of the Michiana Relief Sale Quilt Auction, which auctions first a loaf of bread to remind us that donations go to feed hungry people, the Online Auction offers you a chance to donate to MCC water projects, reminding us how important clean water is.

NOTE: During the sale, September 22-23, the first people to donate $50/$100 will receive sets of blocks or mugs as they last. The two mugs and four small and two large sets of blocks are commemorative and will give you joy for years. Come with your check book or cash.
Around the world, one in 10 people don’t have access to clean, safe water. Women and children spend hours every day walking to collect water to drink or use for cooking and washing. And farmers lose crops when they can’t access water for irrigation. With your donation, MCC works with local partners to make sure people have access to clean water closer to their homes, both today and in the future. This includes projects such as:
- Constructing systems for collecting rainwater
- Digging wells and building dams for drinking or irrigation
- Training local people to construct and maintain water pumps
- Teaching sanitation and hygiene practices
