Item Description

St. Olaf Choir Conductor Anton Armstrong offers a one-day workshop with your choir, including a public performance if desired. Since 1990 Dr. Armstrong has been Conductor of the St. Olaf Choir. Widely recognized for his work in the area of youth and children's choral music, he served for over twenty years on the summer faculty of the American Boychoir School (Princeton, New Jersey) and held the position of Conductor of the St. Cecilia Youth Chorale (Grand Rapids, MI) from 1981-1990. Armstrong is the founding conductor of the Troubadours, a 30-voice boys' ensemble (Northfield, MN). Armstrong is in great demand as a conductor and educator. He has conducted the St. Olaf Choir in critically acclaimed solo concert performances throughout the United States, and under his leadership the Choir has shared the stage with many highly regarded professional choirs, including Vocal Essence in Minneapolis, MN and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir at Disney Hall in Los Angeles.
