Item Description
Winner of a 2014 James Beard Award for restaurant design, SHED is a market, café, and community gathering space designed to bring us closer to the way we grow, prepare, and share our food. Their modern Grange reflects the best of our local farming culture, delivering a seasonally curated selection of workshops, wares, and freshly prepared foods to our guests. Their mission is to celebrate and nurture the connection between good farming, good cooking, and good eating.
SHED is a community of ranchers, fishermen, and artisan producers. They are backyard gardeners and long-time farmers. Professional chefs, home cooks, and food crafters. They are educators and enthusiastic learners. Their backgrounds are diverse, but their interests unite in a passion for food and farming.
In addition to the food produced at HomeFarm, SHED depends on the work of many local farms and ranches, most of them located within 10 miles, and the diligence of many fine artisans. The incredible bounty of the region coupled with the care and attention of their providers enable them to give you something you won’t find elsewhere. It’s a shared sense of home.
Reviews:
Farm to table heaven! Amazing fresh flavors, a true culinary pleasure!
I got to order from the brunch menu today! I had the Dutch baby. It was amazing! It was not too sweet, like some that I've had at other restaurants. It was very unique. I've liked everything I've tried at Shed. Fabulous food!
Wow. We went here on a Saturday while touring wineries for a bit of lunch, bought items to go and sat at the picnic tables out front. Amazing kale salad with sesame, sweet potato salad, pickled vegetables, quinoa salad, smoked salmon spread, fresh bread - everything was perfect. And they have great cookbooks, kitchen gadgets etc. Worth the trip to Healdsburg even without the wineries!
