Item Description
This auction manager was so pleased with the cutting board she received as a gift that she asked the craftsman to donate one to the Ceres auction. Kyle skillfully laminated a strip of black walnut between sugar maple slabs to construct this work of art. The Latin names of the wood species are etched on the back. The board has been treated with a homemade mineral oil and beeswax conditioner and measures 9 x 8 x 1 inches. Its small size makes it a handy kitchen-cutting surface as well as an attractive serving piece. Cheese, anyone?
In addition to being a fine woodworker, Kyle is an environmental scientist, a myrmecologist, and accomplished photographer. Please visit his site at www.kylembradford.com to see more of his work.
