Item Description

All Hail King James!

Own a game-issued jersey of one of the most talented and popular basketball players ever!

We can't confirm that this jersey has ever seen game play, but check out the tags to see that this is not a jersey you can buy just anywhere.

"Game Issued" jerseys differ very slightly from the "Pro Cut" jerseys that you can get off the rack at your local Pro Shop.  While they are both sized with numbers, a "Game Issued" jersey may have patches that you will not find on a "Pro Cut" store bought jersey.  These patches are usually found in the form of a sleeve patch or perhaps a patch on the chest commemorating a special event associated with the team.  These special patches are a great way to determine the year that the jersey was worn/used.  Also..."Game Issued" jerseys may have additional tagging found near the size tag on the front of the jersey.  These tags may indicate that the jersey itself may be a few inches longer than a standard jersey of the same size or that the sleeves are longer than the regular size.  A "Game Issued/used" jersey will literally be THE JERSEY that you'll find hanging in the player's locker before game-time.  Not all of the "Game Issued" jerseys make it onto the playing field.  A "Game Issued" jersey will have even more tags than the "Pro Cuts".  In addition to having the patches and additional size tags, a "Game Issued" jersey will sometimes have a "Taylored Exclusively for ... (team name) tag, a "Year and or Set Tag".  (For example, Rawlings baseball jerseys during the late 80's and early 90's had a tag that would say something like "1990 Set 1".  That usually meant that particular jersey was issued to the player in 1990 and that was the first set of jerseys.  (A player could be issued up to three or four of the same jersey.)
