Goat kid Daisy Mae is loving her new exercise wheel. Look at her go! 💨 The goat-friendly wheel provides enrichment to burn off some of those extra kid zoomies. 🐐
Willow is going through her emo stage. 🖤

At eight months old, the 230-pound young muskox is shedding her qiviut, the soft underwool. Qiviut is warmer than sheep’s wool and softer than cashmere. Muskoxen shed their qiviut in spring, and we leave it for the birds to use.

Five critically endangered American Red Wolf pups were born at our off-site facility one month ago today! The wiggly and healthy pups are growing fast and have started to venture out of their den with mom close by. The three male and two female pups are the latest success in recovering the only wolf species found solely in the United States. With an estimated 20-22 Red Wolves remaining in the wild in eastern North Carolina, we are doing everything possible to restore this critically endangered species. Stay tuned for updates!

Happy 20th birthday, Matia! 🎉 She was born in 2004 to a mother who was rescued while pregnant and unable to care for her. Raised by humans, the young sea lion couldn’t be released to the wild. She’s very smart and loves to have fun! 🦭
