SWIRCA & More is getting ready to run an online auction fundraiser.
We are excited to present our 12th annual Auction to be held on February 27th. This year promises to be the most fun and competitive yet! We are revamping our event this year with a new theme- a Tailgate party! We are moving the auction back to the Ivy Room and creating a more relaxed atmosphere. Come decked out in your favorite jerseys, enjoy stadium food, and bid on the hundreds of auction items.
Live Event Information
The live event will be held on Saturday, February 27th from 5-9 pm in the Ivy Room at SWIRCA & More. Come dressed in your most spirited outfit because the best dressed will receive an award! The night’s activities will include browsing the various silent auction tables, enjoying stadium food, sampling beer from Turoni’s and Carson’s Breweries, and other tailgating activities. A cash bar with beer and wine only will be available. All bidding is done online so if you have a phone with internet capabilities or a tablet, please bring it! Assistance will be available to those who need help accessing the website. Come browse our hundreds of auction items, enjoy a beer, and support your local seniors!
Tickets will be $30 per person and include entrance to the event, one non-alcoholic drink, an entree, endless snacks and desserts, limited beer samples from local breweries, and other activities. To purchase tickets, click the grey Buy Tickets button on the right hand column or stop by SWIRCA & More's office.
Auction Items
Do you want to bid on items but can’t make it to the event? No problem! The entire auction is ran through a website called BiddingForGood so anyone can bid, not just those at the Tailgate party. Bidding will open on Wednesday, February 24th and will conclude at the end of Tailgate party at 9 on Saturday the 27th.
All auction items can be picked up at SWIRCA’s office on 16 W. Virginia St. Items can be shipped but the winning bidder will be responsible for all mailing costs.
More Than Just A Place To Play Bingo
The focus of this year’s auction will be on our Activity Center. We’ve recently received a $25,000 budget cut from the City of Evansville. Our Activity Center is more than just a place to play BINGO. It provides a crucial social network for our members and is a safe place where they can stay healthy, active, and independent. Money will be sought to supplement our city budget loss through the Fund A Service segment of the Auction.
