Item Description
Deriving its name from its shape, this Economy Sugarloaf Helmet recreates a variant of the warriors great helm from the medieval era, allowing modern warriors to make it a part of their armored attire whenever they fight and reenact today. Originally based out of Spain, the sugarloaf helm offers a similar style to the iconic Great Helm of the Crusades era, but instead features a conical top instead of a flat one. The conical shape helps divert force from the head, while also creating a distinctive look that pairs nicely with the brass cross inlay over the eyes.
Measures: 15 inches tall
Sizing: One Size Fits Most. Fits up to a 22 to 23 Inch Circumference.
Please note this helmet has extensive surface rust and is need of polishing. The rust does not appear to be anything more than surface rust and should be easily remedied by proper care. Please email auction@wxxi.org for more detailed photos of the rust.
SHIPPING IS NOT INCLUDED on any items in the WXXI Auction. Certificates will be mailed directly to winning bidders at no additional cost. Bidders who have won Merchandise items (items with an M in front of the item number) will be contacted at the conclusion of the Auction to arrange shipping for an additional fee. The WXXI Auction will ship via FedEx Express, if the bidder prefers a different shipping method they must arrange shipping and contact the Auction with the appropriate details. Merchandise items can also be picked-up at WXXI on the publicized open pick-up dates or by appointment. All Merchandise must be picked up by July 31, 2015.
