Item Description
The successful bidder for this item will receive Dakini as Art artist Leslie Rinchen-Wongmo's "Lotus Rising" hand-embellished print.
This giclée fine art print of an original silk appliqué lotus has been signed and hand embellished by the artist. The print, on Somerset Velvet paper, is so clear and textured as to look almost like the original. To this, Leslie Rinchen-Wongmo has adhered a small silk and horsehair embellishment, a hand-stitched leaf on a pool of blue satin.
Leslie Rinchen-Wongmo is a textile artist, teacher, and caretaker of the sacred Tibetan tradition of appliqué thangka and a member of the Dakini As Art Collective. She stitches bits of silk into fabric mosaics that bring the transformative images of Buddhist meditation to life. Learn more at www.threadsofawakening.com.
