Item Description
In 1944, the movie "Hollywood and Vine" was released as a California romantic comedy starring James Ellison, Wanda McKay, Ralph Morgan and Daisy the dog. This item is an 11 x 14 reproduction lobby card (on card stock) in 'very good' condition from Movie Poster Archives.
Daisy was a male cocker spaniel/poodle/terrier mix born in 1937 and rescued from an LA animal shelter. He was originally given the name Spooks because of his timidness. With the help of Rudd Weatherwax, the famous dog trainer who trained Lassie, Daisy's personality and movie career blossomed. Brilliant at expressing emotions ranging from excitement to fear, Daisy went on to appear in over 50 films including Blondie, National Velvet, and Hollywood and Vine. Through the act of rescue, Daisy enjoyed a happy seventeen years - from puppy to Grey Muzzle - and became one of the worlds most famous dogs!
