Item Description

You can’t beat a quality hand woven rug. This 3’ x 5’ woven Soumack (which is a tapestry technique) was hand-woven in India and imported by Foothill Oriental Rugs.

The rug is made of 100% wool on a cotton foundation. The Soumack weave of this piece originated in Caucasia several centuries ago and results in a carpet with a flat surface, rather than a pile.

The design of this piece is “Mamluk”, an Ottoman Turk design dating back several centuries.

This package includes a certificate for a pad.

Foothill Oriental Rugs has been in business in Salt Lake City since 1984 and has Utah’s largest and most complete selection of hand-knotted rugs, imported directly from India, Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkey and Nepal.
