Item Description
Do you have an idea for a children’s book but no idea on how to get it on paper and into the industry? Or, do you have a manuscript in progress and are wondering if it’s ready and what your next steps are?
Award-winning children’s book author/illustrator Katie Yamasaki has taught children’s book classes at both the School of Visual Arts and the Center for Fiction for years.
She will meet you where you are at with your book project, help you with whatever you might need- structure, concept, character development, edits, and an inside understanding of the industry, before pointing you in the right direction towards your publishing goals.
Package includes an initial 1-hour meeting and full project review and recommendations (if you have a work in progress; brainstorming session and idea-generating exercises if you do not), followed by a second directional/editorial meeting after you’ve done the homework.
This can be done via zoom or in person, if the winner of this item is local to the Compass community. www.katieyamasaki.com
