In Toronto, in 1976, two men were fined $50 each for kissing in public. Later a "kiss-in" protest was organized in support of gay rights, a tactic still used today. Inspired by the kiss-in, this painting heats-up a powerful legacy, while decontextualizing the moment to reflect on queer love in all of its forms.
