Item Description
Artist: Wayne Davis
Atlantic White Shark Conservancy's shark spotter/aerial photographer, retired commercial fisherman, and part time whittler.
Wayne's whale & shark are both made from driftwood, reclaimed boat lumber, & antique dock stringers from Pt. Judith, RI, his home port. Much of his wood is c.1940s.
If desired Wayne will add an extra nautical touch, by splicing on a bridle hangar of rugged & weathered Manila rope, making the whale worthy of hanging on a wall, overhead, or on outdoor stakes.
You can see some of his aerial images which have inspired him to carve his 2024 creations at;
