Item Description
Fiber
18" x 18.5" x 1"
Patricia G. Faulkner has been a fiber artist for fifty years. Her work has been in juried shows and published in two books, "500 Art Quilts" and "500 Traditional Quilts." She is inspired by the natural world.
Faulkner was inspired by a photograph of a House Finch taken by her husband. Drawings were made first, then templates were made and fabrics were cut. The pieces were then hand-stitched to the background fabric. The piece was then machine quilted with a sewing machine.
