Item Description

Late Victorian Costumes Paper Dolls by  Tom Tierney
From History of Costume Series

By 1870 tge bustle had replaced the hoop skirt: and small hats - tilted slightly forward -were being worn instead of "poke"bonnets.  Men's fashions tended to be less formal than they had been in the earlier years of the 19th century, while women's apparel acquired even mor elegant tones.
