On Friday, June 2, the Museum hosted Making Waves: A Hudson River Museum Gala- setting sail on a new era! - to celebrate the stunning debut of our new West Wing and the immersive exhibition, Kengo Kito: Unity on the Hudson. The evening program included lavish hors d'oeuvres and desserts by chef Peter X. Kelly, X2O Xaviars on the Hudson, live music from Cocomama and Friends, messages from our honorees and special guests, silent, live, and cause auctions.

Honorees

Donna Murphy, Acclaimed Tony and Emmy Award-winning actress
Best known for her work in musical theater, Donna Murphy plays Mrs. Astor in HBO's The Gilded Age, which was filmed in the Museum's historic home, Glenview.

Mary Calvi, HRM Trustee
14-time New York Emmy award-winning journalist, author, and dedicated HRM Trustee, Mary Calvi, who is also the first lady of Yonkers, is an outstanding advocate for Yonkers and Westchester arts and culture.

Eugene M. Lang Foundation, Isidore Konti Medal of Distinction
A tireless champion of education and social justice, we are delighted to recognize Eugene M. Lang Foundation for their major support of our award-winning Junior Docent Program.

Leonardo Ilianov De La Cruz, Artist and Community Convener
Yonkers-based Leonardo Ilianov De La Cruz, who was born in the Dominican Republic, creates work that addresses inner-city experiences, touching on class, identity, and the beauty within the struggle of marginalized communities.
