ABOUT SOLVING KIDS' CANCER

Solving Kids' Cancer (SKC), is a registered US nonprofit dedicated to improving survival of the most fatal pediatric cancers through advocacy and novel clinical research. SKC was founded by two NYC dads who each lost a child to cancer and who were deeply frustrated over the lack of options available for their children. They worked with an expert scientific advisory board to develop a bold strategy to foster a collaborative approach to pediatric cancer research.

SKC advocates for and funds clinical trials that test the most promising novel agents and combinations of agents in pediatric cancers with the greatest unmet needs. To date, 27 new treatment options have been tested in the clinic, and 18 of these projects advanced to further study.  SKC has built successful collaborations with 20 like-minded charities to expand the work internationally.

SKC drives innovative clinical trials with the goal of increasing survival and lowering toxicity, so that future standard of care will be more effective and survivors will endure less severe late effects, adversely affecting health and quality of life.
