Item Description
Frangipani from the Naples Botanical Garden
These rare varieties of Plumeria (aka Frangipani) have been selected for their unique blooms and fragrances. Plumerias like all day sunshine and well drained soils. It is the habit of the plants to drop some foliage during the winter as they gather energy to bloom the following year. These varieties are fairly compact, and will do well in an arid garden or a large clay pot in a sunny area. Frangipani are at home in our climate with little care from us, although they do appreciate organic fertilizer in the Spring as they grow new leaves. The flowers of a Frangipani are the essence of the tropics !
Photos are a sample of the flower type.
