Lindsay Nygaard gets inspiration for her paintings through observations and interactions with nature. She keeps a camera and sketchbook nearby to document her interpretations of the outdoors and wildlife. Nygaard enjoys traveling to the many National Parks in the US and visiting local wildlife sanctuaries. She also finds solace in outdoor activities including hiking, bird-watching, and gardening.
Rocky Mountain Landscape - One summer Lindsay was lucky enough to stumble into the opportunity of being able to volunteer at Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. Daily, she was surrounded with the natural beauty of the park. One of her favorite trails was the Cub Lake trail. This painting depicts a scene from the beginning of the trailhead.
