Seat 3 (out of 4) in a one-hour virtual game author kaffeeklatsch via Zoom with Jonathan Cassie, who has written for the tabletop games industry for more than twenty years.
Three of his books, Loot, Folkways and Beyond the Veil, are about cultural aspects of tabletop roleplaying worldbuilding. He has been an independent school educator for 25 years in an assortment of teaching and leadership roles. His book on game-based learning, Level Up Your Classroom was published in 2016 and won a gold medal for best technical book from Association Media and Publishing in 2017. He contributed the chapter on social-emotional learning and roleplaying games, "Don't Split the Party," to "Teaching in the Game-Based Classroom," published in 2021.
