A still life of a vintage toy: a dog figure in a car from Fisher Price’s Little People collection. Part of her “Play” series depicting her own childhood toys, these are recognizable mass produced objects from a specific time period that have become precious through years of play.
Une nature morte d’un jouet d’autrefois : une figurine de chien dans une voiture de la collection « Little People » de Fisher Price. Elle fait partie de la série Play (Jeux), qui illustre les jouets d’enfance de l’artiste, des objets familiers fabriqués en série durant une période spécifique qui, au fil des années de jeux, sont devenus précieux.
Item Special Note
Kina Forney is a visual artist practicing in Ottawa. She received her bachelor of fine arts in painting from Concordia University in Montreal. She co-founded the artist collective Artawa and currently teaches painting and drawing to all ages at the Ottawa School of arts and the Beacon Hill Craft Club.
Kina Forney est une artiste visuelle qui travaille à Ottawa et qui a obtenu un baccalauréat en beaux-arts, spécialisation peinture, de l'Université Concordia (Montréal). Elle a cofondé le collectif d'artistes Artawa et enseigne la peinture et le dessin, pour tous les groupes d’âge, à l'École des arts d'Ottawa et au Beacon Hill Craft Club.
