Yee-haw, folks! We're thrilled to offer an amazing auction item for all the animal lovers out there - "Farmyard Keeper for a Day" at the Alex & Ani Farmyard at Roger Williams Park Zoo! Saddle up and get ready to spend two hours shadowing a keeper, and help us wrangle up the alpaca, goats, pig, sheep, donkey, and barn owl for the day ahead.
You'll be a farmer, joining our experienced keeper staff as they show you the ropes of farm life. We're talking feeding, watering, brushing, and cleaning up after these adorable critters, and maybe even teaching you some fun tricks along the way. You'll learn about their personalities and unique quirks, and gain a newfound appreciation for the hard work and dedication that goes into animal care.
But wait, there's more! In addition to your keeper duties, you'll also have a chance to channel your inner zookeeper and get up close and personal with our feathered friend - the barn owl. You'll learn about their incredible adaptations and get a once-in-a-lifetime photo op!

This encounter is for guests 18+ and must be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance.
Please note that the participant is required to wear closed toed shoes during the encounter. To protect the health of our animals and staff, participant must provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or wear provided mask during the indoor portions of this experience.
