Description

Considered by some to be Dick Wilson?s consummate design, Laurel Valley Golf Club is nestled amidst the picturesque Laurel Highlands and offers a world-class golfing experience in a beautiful natural setting. It was founded in 1959 by a group that included Arnold Palmer, who lived a few miles from the site. In fact, the group tried to persuade Arnie to quit the PGA Tour and become the club?s head professional and manager. Palmer reportedly mulled over the prospect for a time before rejecting it. (Imagine how different the tour would have been had Arnie not become the dashing head of Arnie?s Army in the early 1960s.)

Laurel Valley Golf Club has hosted the following notable tournaments: the 1965 PGA Championship, the 1975 Ryder Cup, the 1989 U.S. Senior Open, the 2001 Marconi Pennsylvania Classic and the 2005 Senior PGA Championship.  It is currently ranked as the 122nd best course in the U.S. and 4th best in Pennsylvania.

This package includes a round of golf for three, caddie fees, and lunch.  (It is recommended that the auction winner(s) tip each caddie $50 per person.)  Date and time will be mutually agreed upon between the member and auction winner.  The round of golf can be played in 2023 or 2024.
