"I spent 7 weeks in this beautiful place, and the level of service I received was outstanding. The day always started with a wonderful breakfast, and on Sundays, a fabulous brunch is served, complete with live music. I stayed in room 5, which I highly recommend. The bed was great, the bathroom large and luxurious. And you will have access to a communal kitchen! Elizabeth the innkeeper has assembled a great staff, who are helpful and responsive. They go out of their way to accommodate personal needs, and I felt pampered, to say the least. The Casa del Sol Inn is located in Ajijic, Jalisco, on the northern shore of Lake Chapala. The drive from the Guadalajara airport is about thirty to forty-five minutes on Highway 23. The inn is walking distance of Ajijic?s beloved landmarks, favorite restaurants, and local boutiques. A leisurely stroll to the Ajijic Malecón on Lake Chapala will take the easily distracted tourist about fifteen minutes. A stroll to the plaza, the town center, where live music and festivals are often hosted, takes just five minutes.
