Description
Four passes for admission to the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle.
During MoPOP?s development and early years, the museum focused on exploring narratives within popular music, and the bulk of collection acquisitions were focused accordingly. In 2004, the Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame opened, splitting the space in two, with half focusing on music and half on science fiction.
Science fiction is a genre that defies easy definition but in general emphasizes big ideas and a sense of wonder, often within a framework of the effects of technology or future possibilities on humanity or other sentient beings. See Si-Fi memorabilia from Mars Attacks, Ursula K. Le Guin, Joanna Russ, Star Wars, Dune, Blade Runner, and Ray Bradbury.
Museum of Pop Culture is a leading-edge, non-profit museum, dedicated to the ideas and risk-taking that fuel contemporary popular culture. With its roots in rock 'n roll, Museum of Pop Culture serves as a gateway museum, reaching multigenerational audiences through our collections, exhibitions and educational programs, using interactive technologies to engage and empower our visitors.
