Enjoy a delicious breakfast and particiapte in a QPR
education and training seminar in suicide prevention presented by the CU Denver Depression Center at the home of Heather Mulvilhill. QPR is a three step intervention that anyone (and everyone) can learn to help prevent suicide. Just like CPR, QPR is an emergency response to someone in crisis. Learning these three quick steps can save lives!
Part of the National Network of Depression Centers, the University of Colorado Depression Center is a nationally recognized center of excellence committed to improving the lives of people with depression and mood disorders through clinical excellence, innovative research, community programs and education.
The Depression Center was started in 2008 with the generous support of George Wiegers of Vail, Colorado. Inspired by the vision to create a national network of Depression Centers, Wiegers saw an opportunity to bring a state-of-the-art multidisciplinary disciplinary depression facility to Colorado.

What is QPR?
QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer -- 3 simple steps that anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.
