Item Description
Our Spanish teacher Debbie and her son Daniel want to share a tradition from El Salvador with you: Pupusas!
They will teach a group of up to eight people how to make pupusas, Salvadoran stuffed tortillas. You will make them from scratch, and, more importantly, you will be able to eat them with traditional curtido (cabbage-like salad) and a tomato sauce.
Each winner can bring one friend; children and adults are welcome! The cooking class will take approximately 2 hours and will be held at the Khan Lab School kitchen on a weekend day in 2017.
Ingredients: corn, cheese, beans, loroco (a pickled flower similar to a caper), assorted vegetables, vinegar, olive oil.
