Item Description
Remember the 80's and cassette tapes? Will our children even know what a cassette is? With time, technology changes and becomes more enhanced.
Technology is an important tool in helping students actively think about information, make choices and execute decisions. Over the years, we, at Lincoln, have been fortunate to have Chromebooks, computer labs, and some desktops available for our children to use. In order to further help enrich our students' learning experience, Mr. Armendariz, along with the K-8 Teachers, would like to bring more technology into the classrooms with the
purchase of iPads and more Chromebooks.
"We would like to have iPads or Chromebooks for classroom use. Our students work on various websites and apps during literacy centers. Literacy centers are opportunities for students to work independently while teachers are conducting guided reading groups. There are so many wonderful apps and websites that can enhance student learning and engagement." - Primary Grades Teacher
"We use various websites for differentiation and test preparation for Math, Science and Language Arts. These sites help reinforce the lessons learned, provide supplemental work for differentiation, and give students access to resources, games and additional lessons." - Intermediate Grades Teacher
"As Teachers, we use laptops in many ways -- for research and sourcing, to conduct a variety of online investigations and virtual labs, demonstrating appropriate 'social' yet educational media, writing documents electronically, and much more." - Upper Grades Teacher
Please help Mr. Armendariz' "dream"!
