Item Description
South Africa.
The feast or ceremonial spoon/scoop is used as a serving utensil for important occasions. The handle consists of a carved male figure with a delightfully big belly. He wants you to know that on one occasion when feasting, he had just a little too much beer. The details are somewhat vague, but resulted in a broken arm. Now mended, the accident in no way impairs the utter charm of this carving!
The figure wears a cord around his waist and neck. The cord is looped and could be used to display the figure.
Dimensions in inches: 14 (L). x 4 (W)
Goes perfectly with Ebony Serving Bowl, EV-21!
Donated by Jamie MacRae.
Proceeds from this item benefits Village of Love.
