Item Special Note
Robert is a New England Abstract Artist, working primarily in Acrylics.
Born in New Jersey in 1957, Robert grew up just a few minutes’ drive from New York City, and often found himself wandering the streets of the city gathering images in his mind of New York architecture which has stayed with him for his lifetime.
Robert studied Visual Arts at Ramapo College in Mahwah, New Jersey as a young man. He then traveled throughout the Northeast to experience life and moved to Northern Vermont in 1987. He later continued his studies at Northern University of Vermont in Johnson, Vermont. His early years in Vermont were spent working mostly in metal fabrication. During that time, he also built 3-Dimensional Art from wood and rocks. He foraged large river rocks to build water gardens and these magnificent works of art include his creative waterfalls and Koi Habitats. He then spent a decade creating furniture from fallen trees, which he salvaged from riverbeds throughout Vermont and other points North in New England. Robert also painted murals and applied stencils, which he designed. In recent years, Robert has enjoyed extensive travel throughout the United States gathering images in his journal and creating snapshots of his events. In 2020, his travels brought him to Southern Maine, where he is enjoying these quiet moments of life Since in Maine, he has become more creative than ever, and we are all looking forward to the very creative years to come. Member of The Art Guild of the Kennebunks since May 2022
