Kate Crosby was born and raised inside the city of Atlanta. She received her her B.F.A. in Photography from Georgia State University in 2008. In her work, she is continually questioning asumptions made by our modern society about issues ranging from factory farming to landfill development. Her most recent work has delved into gentrification and its reprecussions to the city of Atlanta. She was the recipient of the Dean Dryer Award, the ASU Award, and the Andrew West Scholarship from the Ernest G. Welch School of Art and Design for excellence in photography in 2008. She has been published in the Photo Review online exhibition as well as Due South, a Juried Publication of Photography in the Southeast. Kate shows in galleries around the city.
