In 2003, Debra earned a BFA in Fine Art, Drawing, at Metropolitan State College of Denver, and currently works as a Library Tech II in Cataloging at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Library. Debra has a love of natural forms, of which the human body ?figures? as metaphoric containers encapsulating ?parts.? The containers? surface may reveal dreams, goals, happiness, regrets, or sadness, while the interior is left a mystery for the viewer to indulge a preoccupation with self. The Mask materials include gesso, colored pencil, graphite, paper, and gel medium.
