Item Description
Includes:
- Mark Davidson Tamburlaine Three's a Crowd Merlot Cabernet 2007 ($9.99): As they say, "Two's Company and Three's a Crowd." Merlot provides the smooth texture and Cabernet Sauvignon, the backbone.
- Mark Davidson Tamburlaine North Bore Shiraz 2006 ($9.99): This wine shows blackcurrant and clove spice characters with a lingering finish.
- Celler El Masroig Sola Fred 2008 ($11.99): Deep, bright red. Aromas of blackberry, smoke and cracked pepper. Tangy and fairly tight, with strong spicy tones and cherry skin and cassis flavors. There's a subtle sweetness here but this rather tightly wound wine is very young right now. Looks to be a great value.
- Terra Robles Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 (11.99): Plush, ripe stone fruit, brambleberry and cocoa nib aromas echo the flavor profile of plum, berry, dark chocolate and spice all supported by balanced, rich velvety tannins.Enjoy with steak, venison, hard cow or sheep cheese, chocolate and fresh berries.
- Foris Rogue Valley Fly-Over Red 2003 ($11.99): Medium-deep ruby color. On the nose, Cabernet Sauvignon is immediately noticeable. Spice, cedar cigar box, and cassis. On the palate the jammy merlot becomes evident, along with more spice from the cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc. Fairly complex flavors. Subtle acidity and mild tannins nicely frame the deep, jammy fruit. Long, plumy finish. Thoroughly spicy. Drinking very nicely right now. Time may further mellow it out a bit, but it is not necessary. Should drink nicely for 4- 6 more years.
- Ken Forrester Pinotage 2008 ($9.99): Unwood, huge dollops of ripe berry fruit on the nose, inky red/black colour with bright hints. Soft and rich on the palate, with a delicioius fruit concentration.
