Item Description
Photographed by Ross Hall from the Hope Peninsula in Hope, Idaho in 1939, this sunset storm over Lake Pend d'Oreille is captured in black and white imagery. Measuring 32" X 40" and framed in a double floated black matte with a black wood frame, this large piece will make a striking addition to any living area.
Ross Hall (1905-1990) received his fine art degree from the Illinois College of Photography, and several years later moved to Sandpoint. His work first received national attention for "The Forrest Christening" which was published by the New York Times in 1933. In the 1940's, Eastman Kodak recogtnized Hall as one of the top ten scenic photographers in the country.
