Learn French from the French!

 All of our instructors are native French speakers, from France and other French speaking countries around the world, trained in teaching French as a Foreign Language. 

  We believe immersion is the best means of learning French and we owe our success to that philosophy.  From the moment you walk through the door, nous parlons français!

 In our school, students enjoy a simultaneous cultural and linguistic education.  Take advantage of our resources including French films, books and magazines, and events for all tastes!

Language experts agree, children have a natural ability to learn foreign languages. The earlier they begin, the better they will become.  The Alliance Française offers many classes and events for children to begin, develop and reinforce French language learning:

• "L'Heure des Petits"  is a class for preschoolers aged 2-4 that meets every Wednesday morning from 10-11 am.  It is a time for songs, games, books and more led by Marie-Jeanne Delevaux-Hargitt. 
• Saturday classes for children from age 4 to 15, choose from Beginner or Experienced level classes with our children's class expert Marie-Jeanne Delevaux-Hargitt.
• Summer camps for children from age 2 to 11.  The Alliance Française offers half-day and full-day programs with a variety of dates.   Half-day camps will be available at the AFMSP for children at a beginner or intermediate level.  All-day camps will be held at the French Academy of Minnesota for children who speak French at home or in school.  
•  Ciné Kids is a monthly film screening in the Grande Salle of the Alliance Française.  Films are shown in French, without subtitles. 
• The AF of Minneapolis St Paul proudly offers Scholarship opportunities for students in grades 10 and 11 who are not able to pursue French langage learning in their school.  To apply, please contact Executive Director, Christina Selander Bouzouina.
• Other events for children throughout the year  such as "Fête d'Hiver,"  "Fête des Rois" and "Bastille Day" celebrations.

To claim this item, the winning bidder is strongly encouraged to pick up their item at the Nativity School Cafeteria. 

Items will be available for pickup during the hours of the Silent Auction:
- Friday, Sept 17: 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm
- Saturday, Sept 18: 10 am- 4pm, and 5:30-10:00 pm
- Sunday, Sept 19: 9:00 am -12:30 pm 

By picking up your item, more of your donation will go to Nativity School, instead of to the cost of shipping your item. If you have not claimed your purchase, it will be delivered to you via the U.S. Mail.
