Item Description
This African scene, in earth tones with a subdued, sunny background, displays a typical village scene. Kenyans come together to share chores and culture. Agricultural, manufactured, imported, and local goods are traded and sold, mostly by women in rural Africa, including in SOTENI Villages of Hope. Village women are the focus of this batik, depicting the strength that their solidarity brings. This 36” x 36” batik is suitable to be the focus of a formal wall or family room setting.
