Item Special Note
Since 1991, Geoffrey L. Ricketts has become synonymous with the harp for many people in North Texas, and around the world. Geoffrey can perform the usual harp fare. He also specializes in his own unique style; playing many different types of music.
He plays Celtic as freely as he plays Jazz. His mastery of classic rock and pop rivals that of many who play the harp as a rock instrument.
Mr. Ricketts has composed many pieces of original music. He is not only a harpist, but he plays piano, guitar, and he is also a great singer. Many of the harpists you have to choose from in North Texas studied with Maestro Ricketts.
He was trained in music theory, arranging, composition, and harp performance at The University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. He studied with notable teachers.
Geoffrey developed The Geoffrey Harp Method and wrote a beginner book “The Geoffrey Harp School”, which is even used out of the U.S.A by many students in Germany.
