Assisted by a very special herd of horses to guide you through a deeper connection and understanding with your self, this unique experience will be held on 19 magical acres in Pilot Point surrounded by the woods and Lake Ray Roberts. Especially perfect for youth in crises, autistic children, and anyone in need of a breakthrough.
Horses have the instinctive gift of mirroring what is going on in our lives. From the moment we step into their presence, horses sense those feelings we keep private.
Horses remind us there is more to us than what we present to the outside world. Their unconditional acceptance and awareness of our experience is felt from the moment we step into the pasture with them.
Horses Reconnect Us To Ourselves…
Horses are natural geniuses when it comes to identifying and sharing those pieces we keep to ourselves. Through this awareness, they help us reconnect with our heart and soul. Ultimately this reunion inspires healing and growth, an understanding of who we are, and how we will be able to integrate this knowledge in our lives.
Item Special Note
Sara Willerson, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker practicing in the state of Texas. She completed an Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy / Equine Experiential learning Apprenticeship with The Epona Center (Linda Kohanov, Tao of Equus) in Tucson, Arizona in November 2003. She is also a member of NARHA/EFMHA and has completed all four levels of Healing Touch for Animals training.
Sara's professional experience has focused on working with adults and children through issues of trauma, grief and loss, and life transitions. Practicing from a holistic center of social work values and ethics, she incorporates basic energy connections between all animals and nature.
Together with her equine partners, Sara invites children and adults to experience the healing power of the horse outside of the traditional office environment.
