Item Description

Can you find these animals in the art? Birds, a rhino, a hippo, mouse, elephant, wild cow, giraffe, wild dog, lions, turtle, 2 peacocks, flamingo, meerkat, cheetah, butterfly, kangaroo, and aardvark? Be sure to look with your eyes only. Thank you!

Description of Project: The environmentally conscientious 2nd graders of Room 103 utilized collage and cutting techniques to create this work that encapsulates concepts of time, light, and air through its depiction of animals moving toward their resting places in the sunset sky. It also celebrates Audubon’s love of nature through its use of natural and recycled materials. Students learned about color, composition and perspective as they created a backdrop and the animals over the course of five class meetings.

This is a brilliant piece that would complement the halls of Audubon in many ways. Please consider purchasing it and giving it back to the school so that generations of Audubon children can enjoy the artistic talent of this year’s 2nd grade class!
