Item Description
Description of Process: Students examined fall leaves, describing the colors, shapes, and texture. Then, students created detailed leaf drawings in pencil. Students added color to leaves with a variety of media. Some leaves are watercolor and watercolor pencil , while others are oil pastel and color pencil. The beautiful leaf drawings were then cut out and glued on cork backing along with other fall colored and textured papers. Finally, the students finished the placemats with words related to autumn. To finish it off, they added a clear coat of mod podge to seal the work through the seasons.
