Item Description
Deborah Malotte and Pamela Rae are collaborative artists brought together in 1995 by a common interest in horses. Since that time, they have been on an intuitive road to creativity in their artistic work. Lots of laughter, hard work and many ideas have been shared through the years and the resulting energy they’ve experience clearly comes through in their art.
Both women work in elements of the earth-- metal and clay--but each so differently, that the result is an imaginative and highly creative combination. Their unique work reflects the journey of the spirit that continues to motivate these two artists.
Malotte & Rae are represented by Swenson Fine Art in Laguna Beach where a collection of their work is currently on display.
About their “Artful Violin,” Malotte & Rae explain, “Music is the language of the soul. Through our art, we have attempted to translate the passion we believe musicians might feel for their music and their instruments. The inspiration for the title “ Rhapsody in Red” came from the definition of rhapsody. ’A composition free in structure and highly emotional in character….an ecstatic expression of feeling or enthusiasm.’ We hope you feel the rhapsody.”
Malotte & Rae’s violin will be displayed at Swenson Fine Art, 460 South Coast Hwy., Laguna Beach
