Item Description
This 1909 Richmond piano was donated by Larry Spillan of Encore Piano Movers. This piano was repaired by the Piano Technicians Guild to make suitable for playing for OC Can You Play? and should only be used for light recreational playing.
The artist is Natalie Goldman.
Established in 1878, the Richmond Piano Company was manufactured by the famous Starr Piano Company of Richmond, Indiana. Richmond pianos were produced as an affordable alternative to the costlier Starr brand, and were sold along side Starr in their retail stores and sales catalogs. The Richmond Piano Company produced very good quality pianos, and they offered some rather elaborate styles for affordable prices.
