Item Description
After serving in one of the first Peace Corps groups stationed in Africa (and getting a photo op with JFK), Peggy began a writing career with the Washington Monthly and then the Philadelphia Inquirer. Her work there led to a critically acclaimed book on the Daughters of the American Revolution, in which she provided a refreshingly objective look at an entity about which most people had long since made up their minds. This was followed by her bestselling book "Nurse," which was eventually adapted for television. Peggy's other works include another bestseller, 1985's "Children's Hospital." Peggy is currently writing her next book "It's About Life," the true story of a hospice nurse.
This package includes a southern meal (menu TBD) jointly prepared by Peggy and Moonstone parent/former Peace Corps volunteer Bob Hornsby, cocktails, an evening of dinner conversation at Peggy's home on Camac Street, and a signed paperback copy of Nurse.
