Item Description
Hepburn's primary hobbies were sports and art: drawing and painting. She took up painting in the 1930's, and fully embraced it in the 1960's. Despite being very talented, she never sold any of her work.
This item is a pencil sketch by Katharine Hepburn of her parents, Thomas Hepburn and Katharine Houghton, based on a photograph (a copy of which is included). This item is ver special, both because of the personal nature - as well as the fact of her mother's work being instrumental in shaping the organization known today as Planned Parenthood of Southern New England.
Item Special Note
Because she never intended to sell her work, this sketch is unsigned. This piece is not framed.
