Turley Wine Cellars 2009 Rattlesnake
Ridge Vineyard

Howell Mountain Zinfandel

Robert Parker #192, 92-94 points: “Turley…remains the reference point for world-class, quintessential old vine Zinfandels.”  The Rattlesnake Ridge is “about as good a 2009 Zinfandel as readers will find….dark ruby/purple hue is followed by notes of blueberries, blackberries and damp, mossy, forest floor scents. The wine possesses fabulous fruit, admirable ripeness and a rich, full-bodied mouthfeel and plenty of power as well as fruit….already charming and irresistible, [it] should be ready to drink when released and best consumed in the first 4-6 years of life.”

Usually available only to those on the mailing list.

Kistler
2006 Hyde Vineyard Chardonnay

Carneros

Robert Parker, 93-95 points: “The 2006 Kistlers are unmistakably Burgundian in their aromatics, textures, and flavor profiles…. Lemon grass, orange blossom, marmalade, and nectarine characteristics along with notes of buttered citrus, peach, and wet stones are found in the 2006 Hyde Vineyard. A full-bodied, beautifully textured style suggest this beauty will drink nicely for 5-7 years.”

Usually available only to the mailing list, and at a few classy joints.

Williams-Selyem Winery 2007 Rochioli
Vineyard

Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

Wine Enthusiast, Feb 2010, 97 points: “Always one of Williams Selyems top Pinot Noirs, the 2007 is a spectacular wine…drinkable at a younger age…it will develop beautifully over the next decade.”

Robert Parker, #180 91-93 points: “….notes of crushed rocks, raspberry, sweet and sour cherries…deeper color, sweeter, broader mouthfeel, more glycerin, body, and depth [than the 2006], and looks to be a potentially stunning wine.”

Usually available only from the mailing list.
