Item Description
Nebula Award-winning writer and Oregon Book Award Finalist and Child of Holocaust Survivor Leslie What will critique a short story or nonfiction essay and give professional, honest, and useful feedback to a newer writer about a creative piece (up to 6,000 words). Leslie What has published fiction, nonfiction, and poetry in numerous literary journals and anthologies and her work has been translated into German, Japanese, Russian, Hebrew, Spanish, and Klingon. She has taught at UCLA Extension in The Writers Program, at the Clarion Writers' Workshop, The Alpha Workship for young writers, and writing conferences nationwide. She is the fiction editor for Phantom Drift: New Fabulism, and the nonfiction editor for an anthology about women and aging to be published in 2012.
Item Special Note
I prefer that a Word file be emailed to me for critique and that the writer be open to looking at ways to strengthen his or her work. Our email exchanges will allow for some back and forth and questions and response, but generally top out at 4 exchanges.
