Item Description

Everyone needs a night away now and then, and this is the perfect way to relax and spend a lovely evening in NW Portland whether you're coming for a vacation from afar or from just across the river.  This package includes a dinner for two at Eleni's Philoxenia (up to $25) in the Pearl, a pair of tickets to a show at Portland Center Stage, and a night at the lovely and serene Heron Haus Bed & Breakfast Inn.

About the restaurant: Executive chef Eleni Touhouliotis came to the US from the island of Crete in 1974, and today she prepares Cretian-style food with an abundance of olive oil, garlic and fresh vegetables. Her favorite dish is kalatsounia (spinach, fresh dill and green onions rolled inside a covering of philo dough). At Eleni's, we believe that great food can only come from great ingredients. Whenever available, we serve fresh organic vegetables. All the meat we serve is raised respectfully without hormones: Oregon Painted Hills beef, Carlton pork, Draper Valley free range chickens and new Zealand lambs. The olive oil we use is a very fine, first pressing from the island of Crete.

Item Special Note

Theater tickets must be used in the 2011-2012 season, which ends 6/12.  See website for showings, www.pcs.org.
